    Are you a Solution Architect with a special interest in automation and network solutions? Do you want to use your experience to make better things happen? My name is Robert Wanvik Halvorsen and I run the IP Network and Transport Automation team in Telia. We are now looking for a Senior Automation Software Architect to join and strengthen our team.

    We are a team of professionals with both operational and development responsibilities. We share a common vision to improve and simplify processes and products through automation.

    Evaluating commercial products, make or buy options, learning new technologies and putting them to the test is our normal approach to challenges we face.

    As a Senior Automation Architect you will be a part of the Network Automation Team at Telia. In this team we maintain and develop a platform that enables network automation, including service activation and life cycle management, and participates in various projects to build new automation across Telia's footprint in the Nordics and Baltic countries.

    In the role as Senior Automation Architect you will be responsible for designing the solution and plan the process from start to end. You will lead operational and development activities with a wide range of stakeholders, to be able to communicate technical solutions clearly to different units in the organization.

    We engage with stakeholders both in the network engineering teams, and with system integrators and take lead on building a future-proof and scalable automation platform.

    We engage with stakeholders in the network and system integrators team, to create harmonizing common solutions across Telia footprint in the Nordics/Baltics countries.

    Is this you?

    To be successful in this role we believe you are well versed in software architecture and has experience or with IP networking or at least an understanding of it, but most importantly able to communicate technical solutions clearly. As a person you are curious when it comes to new tools and ideas, and have a natural way of communicating this on different levels.

    Your experience:

  • Significant experience as a software or technical solution architect
  • experience with API design and documentation (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger) and data modeling (e.g., UML)
  • Strong development experience with Python or similar object-oriented language
  • Experience with DevOps principles and tools like git, docker, etc.
  • knowledge of networking technologies (L2VPN, L3VPN) used in large providers network is a big plus
  • Fluent in English, additionally a Nordic Language will be a plus
