    My name is Johan Mosén, and I am heading Billing, Charging and Policy domain within Telia IT. We are a wonderful team of highly professional experts, responsible for IT Development, Operations & Maintenance in the BCP (Billing, Charging, Policy) domain.

    We are responsible for the Common Target assets in this domain and are already running production in one of our countries, soon there will be launch in more countries as well. Now we are looking for a senior professional or expert Oracle DBA to join our team. We are targeting a person with knowledge not only in database domain, but also having great interest in the application layer.

    This role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Security Management, Capacity Management, Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Performance Tuning of database and application layers.
  • Life Cycle Management planning and execution, e.g. product upgrades.
  • Proactive Operations and Maintenance of our Production and non-Production database environments.
  • With your preventive mindset, you will ensure availability of our production and non-production environments according to the business NFR's.
  • Continuous improvement of robustness, reliability and quality.
  • Monitoring and optimizing system performance and health, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities of quality improvements. Having knowledge of the business requirements and using best practice to continually improve.
  • Improvements of time-to-market in our deliveries.
  • Create sustainable system and service through automation.

    • When bigger releases happen, there might be possibility to be a part of a 24x7 "on-call" and making sure our platform and services are constantly running for the benefit of our business and customers.

    Is this you?

    You need to understand both technology and human behaviour. You are proactive and self-driven person with high delivery capability and hands-on and can-do attitude and deep knowledge in database domain. We are running a complex setup including Oracle RAC, Active Data Guard, transaction intensive workloads. You need experience in this area of technical architecture, development, and operations. You will be working closely with the business, IT architects and technology team to secure different deliverables and production quality.

    Your expected Experience:

  • Several years of work experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
  • Experience and knowledge of advanced Oracle DB deployments.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, and Active Data Guard.
  • Experience with gathering business requirements, such as NFR's, and system design.
  • Dimensioning and performance turning from infrastructure to database level.
  • Visualize ideas, designs, problems, and present those to the technical teams.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and solving issues in Production environments, preferable hands-on.
  • You have good knowledge and practical experience of HA/DR (High Availability / Disaster Recovery) architecture.

    • Beneficial experience/We would see as an advantage:

  • Experience with Billing, Charging, Policy applications, preferably Oracle.
  • Experience with Automation, Orchestration, DevSecOps and Agile delivery models.
  • Previous working experience as a DevOps Engineer, Architect, or other equivalent position within Oracle Database domain.
  • Experience with mobile networks and diameter interfaces.
  • Experience working in the telecommunications sector.

    For Lithuanian applicants only: the salary range for this position is from 4085 to 6128 EUR gross depending on your experience.
