We are looking for an experienced subsea installation analysis engineer who can join our multicultural team in Lysaker, Norway. You will have the opportunity for travel to our offshore vessels.

    As an Installation Analysis Engineer you will undertake a range of engineering and analysis activities in the context of engineering studies, FEED work, tenders or an actual project. Our Installation Analysis Engineer also takes responsibility for undertaking scopes allocated, such scope will typically be performed with support and supervision of a more senior discipline colleague.

    Job Description

    As part of the daily tasks, Installation Analysis Engineer will either be writing detailed installation Analysis Reports for subsea products such as rigid pipe, umbilical, flexibles and subsea structures and providing the required inputs for the design of installation equipment and tools.

    Installation Analysis Engineer works within the department installation and construction. Installation and construction consists of intervention, installation, IMR, installation analysis, structure design, survey and drafting, where Installation analysis under installation and construction comprises the following competencies: Installation analysis for rigid pipe, umbilical, flexible, Rigid spools, jumpers, seabed structures and subsea tie-in.

    Throughout the course of a project, Installation Analysis Engineer is also expected to interface with a range of internal or external stake-holders including the project team, the procurement team, detail design team, the operational teams, internal centre of expertise, global engineering centers, the client and suppliers. Such interface may occur through technical or risk review meetings or during the follow up of more operational phases of the project, on site or offshore.

    You will have the opportunity to perform an installation analysis for all kinds of offshore installation and construction and to follow it from start in the office all the way to joining the vessel for the actual installation. Analysis engineers can have the opportunity to offshore.

    Main Tasks

    • Do hydrodynamic calculations and modelling in Orcaflex (commercial software) of subsea products (rigid pipe, umbilical, flexible, spools, jumpers and seabed structures) and assets.

    • Perform static and dynamic analysis to verify systems constraints and operability

    • Provide the input for design installation equipment and tools

    • Writing detail installation analysis reports

    • Improve Automation (python) of installation analysis process

    • Support to procurement

    • Support tenders and studies with engineering activities

    • Mentor junior engineers

    • Support to offshore installation

    You are meant for this job if:

    Formal Qualification / Experience

    • Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Marine, Civil or Structural Engineering MSc or equivalent

    • Bachelor degree with minimum 4-10 years of relevant experience

    • Master degree with minimum 2-8 years of relevant experience

    Profiles Requirements

    • 2+ years' experience in subsea installation analysis using Orcaflex and high skill in Orcaflex software

    • High skill of python

    • Familiarity with the most common codes (eg DNV ST N001, DNV RP N103, DNV RP C205 and DNV OS F101)

    • High level of hydrodynamics knowledge

    • Enthusiasm and diligence in delivering scopes and learning

    • Drive towards quality & efficiency

    • Enthusiasm for engineering, technology and problem solving

    • Good communications skills, sharing and listening, spoken and written

    • Good self-organizational skills

    • Collaborative attitude Preferred qualifications and experiences

    • Fluent English, spoken and written
