    We are looking for an Outside Sales Engineer for our office in Porsgrunn, Norway

    By joining us as an Outside Sales Engineer you will be the customer advisor establishing expertise and positioning their solution in a way that connects the dots between their business, challenges, and goals. The latest technologies, tools, and business models together with your sales skills will be the flawless combination for building relationships, closing deals, and finding new opportunities.

    In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Actively visit customers to promote the sale of Emerson's products and services & strategically negotiate, keeping in mind long term opportunities
  • Manage and further develop Emerson's market position with Measurement Solutions Portfolio by understanding the customer's business drivers & goals and keeping up to date with their situations.
  • Prepare and be responsible for an annual booking budget by product / value / period.
  • Report on quotation, sales plans & project potential by updating CRM On-demand.
  • Understand and work in team project form for more sophisticated requests.
  • Participate in relevant industry events.

    For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Degree in Engineering / Technical field
  • Proficient in English and Norwegian languages
  • Travel up to 30% (region and Europe)
  • Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Several years of relevant sales experience with similar technical products (. instrumentation, automation valves) and within similar industries (. Hydrogen, CCS, chemical, life science) in industrial automation
