- Supporting the technical grid connection workstream for projects, collaborating with the project manager, project development team, and other technical experts.
- Serving as a technical authority on all grid connection matters from feasibility studies to operational phases.
- Initiating and overseeing tasks such as feasibility studies, infrastructure planning, engineering, and more.
- Engaging in early-phase project activities including system analysis, risk assessment, equipment selection, and construction planning.
- Developing grid connection infrastructure plans.
- Creating and ensuring the quality of technical specifications and tender documents.
- Providing engineering support during project construction.
- Degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering or related field.
- Several years of relevant experience, including working on renewable energy projects in Germany.
- Comprehensive knowledge of grid connection design; proficiency in related software is a bonus.
- Familiarity with the German grid code and grid connection agreements for renewable energy projects.
- Experience in substation electrical design and permitting processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

Job Description
Joining our team in Germany, you will be part of the German regional project delivery team, which consists of a diverse group including engineers, procurement specialists, construction experts, and quality professionals. Additionally, you will become part of a global network of engineering and technical specialists.
As a Grid Engineer, your role will involve supporting wind, solar, and battery storage projects in Germany from inception through to completion. You will oversee technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects related to grid connections for both distribution and transmission.
