    ABOUT THE POSITION IN ABBOTT

    Abbott Diagnostics Technologies AS is part of Abbott Diagnostics, bringing together teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.

    The position of Supply Planner is within our Cardiometabolic and Informatics Business Unit located in Oslo, Norway. This role includes leading of the monthly supply planning process, in which the global demand plan is converted into the site's supply plan; in collaboration with the site scheduling function the supply plan will be converted into an actionable production schedule. This roll will contribute towards design, implementation and optimization of Supply Chain reports which supports the S&OP and Global Planning process.

    Responsibilities

    • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies and procedures.
    • Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of applicable Quality Processes as per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
    • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
    • Responsibility to understand and maintain awareness of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job.
    • Full responsibility for the supply planning process of the Oslo manufacturing site as outlined above; optimize tools, systems (mainly SAP) and processes and actively engage with internal site and external (i.e. centralized and regional functions) stakeholders
    • Liaise with commercial counterparts and ensure visibility on product availability; fulfil key role in supply allocation decisions
    • Identify bottlenecks in product availability and support with mitigation
    • Strong knowledge of the fundamental business process collect information from reporting system and interpret data in order to support S&OP and Global Planning department to take right business decisions, optimize inventories and replenishment plans.
    • Responsible for accurate Global Inventory and Order Fulfillment Reporting for the RMDx division
    • The position requires initiative taking and creative thinking to introduce unfamiliar, original ideas that do not arise from existing processes. The information is highly complex.
    • Pro-actively interact across functions and departments to improve order fulfillment in all nodes of the supply chain and optimize supporting costs (e.g., inventory, transportation, warehousing); point of contact between manufacturing sites and different stakeholders in the business
    • Ensure the accuracy of data and design and develop tools/models which are the base for RMDx strategic decisions.
    • Analyze, troubleshoot, make recommendations, and implement solutions for existing systems, processes and procedures.
    • Support calculation and optimization of key planning parameters (safety stocks, lead times, ...)
    • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

    Minimum qualifications / education / experience

    • Scientific background, preferably in Logistics, Engineering, Mathematics or IT
    • Minimum of 3 years (international) experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain and/ or Data analytics position
    • Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel, Power BI and SAP.
    • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
