    ABOUT THE POSITION IN ABBOTT

    Abbott Diagnostics Technologies AS is part of Abbott Diagnostics, bringing together teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.

    The position of Demand Officer is within our Cardiometabolic Unit located in Oslo, Norway. This role requires broad professional competencein order processing, import and export in particular, and the position holder is directly responsible towards the defined customers, their freight forwarders and the customs authorities in Norway.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of applicable Quality Processes as per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
  • Responsibility to understand and maintain awareness of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job.
  • For defined customers / areas: Perform and monitor the order office's (ordrekontoret) work with order processing and preparation of documentation for order shipment in accordance with the company's current guidelines
  • Self-development / updating of external and internal regulations in own department
  • Evaluate / suggest / prepare new and / or more effective routines for the department
  • Report and possibly prepare proposals for new SOPs where the current ones are not feasible or comprehensive
  • Support within own work area and for the use of SAP within his / her field
  • Training responsibility for new employees and temporary workers, in his / her field
  • Check and post transport invoices
  • Order registration and control, send order confirmations
  • Make delivery notes and pick lists
  • Issue export documents including invoicing
  • Order pickup and transport of customer orders
  • Inform customers about order shipment
  • Key user for the SD module in SAP
  • Report customer complaints regarding errors on received items, transport damages, incorrect number etc.
  • Issue return orders for Afinion Analyzers with subsequent credit according to SDO018 (D , and other returns according to current SOPs
  • Maintain SAP with correct customer data (customer master) at all times
  • Weekly reporting of the backorder situation
  • Responsibility for specific tasks will be reflected in the employee's training plan
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma (eksamen artium) or vocational education (yrkesfaglig utdanning) within mercantile subjects
  • Approved and valid background check from the Civil Aviation Authority at all times
  • PERSONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Good communication skills in writing and orally, both in Norwegian and English
  • Good ability to take initiative and work independently
