    We are looking for a System Engineer SURF

    Our System Engineering Service is a department under Engineering Services in TechnipFMC. The department's objective is to create customer success and be the preferred partner to operators in the production phase.

    The department is in search for a system engineer for SURF (Subsea Umbilical's Risers and Flowlines) to lead and coordinate engineering activities related product's integrity. The daily tasks are multidiscipline and involves project management tasks related to engineering work and technical support to fields in operation. The work location is TechnipFMC's offices in Lysaker, in the Oslo area.

  • Solve technical challenges in cooperation with our global network of subject matter experts
  • Supporting business development by being involved in client interfaces meetings
  • Doing the project administration and management by being involved in all the steps of our projects
  • Job Description

    TechnipFMC operates internationally and most of our study work is performed in cooperations with our global network of experts. Our main interfaces are currently in our technology centers in Norway, France and India.
    Through our study work, we contribute to extend the safe lifetime of the (SURF) products in service for our client's oil and gas fields.

    Main duties for the position:

    • Technical management for engineering study work related to Subsea Umbilical's, Risers and Flowlines (SURF)

    • Be the main technical link between TechnipFMC, the customer and our product/expert network.

    • Lead and coordinate studies; e.g. lifetime extension, integrity studies on pipe cross section, global analysis, incident analysis and other.

    • Support our sales and tender department to establish scope of work and get input from stakeholders to build a proposal including Cost Time and Resources (CTR)

    • Propose analysis, way forward, product and studies to our clients when a problem arise

    • Coordinate execution of contracted work scopes as required

    • Become proficient in the TechnipFMC SURF technologies to provide high quality technical support

  • Technical background on SURF products, in particular flexible pipes
  • You are curious of technical matters and eager to understand more

  • You are responsible and with good communication and co-operation skills
  • You like to have a complete view of a study or a project
  • You can conduct several projects in parallel

  • Fluent in English language

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in integrity management, monitoring, inspection, maintenance & repair and associated TechnipFMC products and services
