    Job Purpose

    Digital communications & operations delivers digital solutions for communications needs and supports in the operations of the function allowing communications personnel to focus on what they do best, communicating. The Sr. Manager, Digital and Operations in Communications will:

  • Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to create and deliver effective digital tools allowing easier, more effective and efficient communications.
  • Develop and execute a digital communications strategy that keeps TechnipFMC up to date with current digital solutions and enables the communication team to successfully communicate with employees.
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the department efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated.
  • Identify and deploy simplification opportunities within the function focused on tools and practices.
  • Job Description

    Accountabilities for this role spans: digital communications, communications operations and IT communications, and management of team members. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deploy the strategy for the corporate intranet and manage team and distributed network of communications personnel and content managers in the business to deliver governance, application rollout and updates, continued evolution and improvement and training
  • Manage internal and external relationships to gather insight and develop strategy and road map for the external website
  • Serve as the business and strategy owner for Viva Engage (Yammer):
  • Serve as the business owner for Stream, partnering with IT to create governance to ensure proper use of tool and ongoing maintenance to keep platform organized and functioning well.
  • Work with the Communications team to ensure that digital channels improve efficiency and effectiveness of their communications:
  • Liaise with IT PMO and Change Management Director to ensure cross-functional synergies are in place for IDS communications to support IDS all-employee communications.
  • Lead the analysis of new digital tools and channels to ensure Communications team stays on the cutting edge of digital, including AI.
  • Identify and deploy simplification opportunities within the function, focusing on tools and practices.
  • Lead the establishment of quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the department efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as the 'controller' for the communications budget, creating processes, overseeing the forecast and providing reports to the Communications leaders.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a variety of digital and operation business roles, preferably in an oil and gas communications function.
  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, Engineering, IT or Information Management, or related equivalent experience.
  • Experience with enterprise content, collaboration, and portal implementation projects that integrate multiple technologies, and upgrade / migration projects for those technologies
  • Leadership experience with digital workplace technologies, ideally within the oil and gas industry Portal and enterprise content management platforms (SharePoint) and collaboration tools Video, webcasting, podcasting and ideation tools Knowledgeable in cloud technologies such as Office 365, SuccessFactors, etc. Enterprise search engines Data analytics and reporting
  • Work history that demonstrates the ability to create employee engagement with communications and collaboration channels, strategies and tactics.
  • Ability to define and evaluate business requirements and available digital workplace applications and make optimal determinations for their use. Extensive experience translating strategic and tactical business needs into tangible digital communications and engagement solutions – both internally (intranet, internal social media) and externally (corporate extranet).
  • Extensive experience working with external vendors of communications and digital platforms – from researching solutions to evaluating competing platforms to deployment and managing the relationship.
  • Expertise with training, change management and launch of new technologies and features.
  • Understanding of and experience with knowledge management principles in the areas of internal social media and intranet management, as well as the ability to lead a distributed network of content managers who report into different parts of the organization and ensure that they adhere to platform guidelines and governance.
  • Experience interfacing with broadly distributed teams to accomplish successful and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Change management expertise, including the ability to anticipate and manage resistance to change, and effectively communicate the benefits of the change to employees.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities worldwide.
