TGS provides scientific data and intelligence to companies active in the energy sector. In addition to a global, extensive and diverse energy data library, TGS offers specialized services such as advanced processing and analytics alongside cloud-based data applications and solutions.
We are currently seeking full-time Senior Project Engineers to join our client project delivery team at our offices in Fredrikstad, Oslo or Porsgrunn. This team is tasked with the mission of delivering digital solutions for collecting, storing, processing, and presenting large volumes of data from industrial equipment and systems within the energy sector worldwide, including renewables and oil and gas. These solutions are implemented based on our Industry Data Gateway SW. In addition to our offices in Norway, we also have a dedicated project engineering group located in Karachi, Pakistan.
Who are you?
As an ideal candidate, you should possess self-motivation with a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team, as well as proven leadership qualities. You thrive in technology and system-oriented environment and excel at organizing your work efficiently. Preferably, you bring relevant work experience and possess robust project work & management skills. Moreover, you should feel comfortable engaging directly with clients. Proficiency in both written and spoken Norwegian and English is essential. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 7 years of experience, and you should hold a relevant bachelor's or master's degree.
What are your competencies?
Furthermore, we're looking for individuals with a genuine passion for industrial IT and data communication - to implement and get such technology working for real industrial plants. In that sense, practical experience in the industry as well as industry domain knowledge is highly appreciated. In this role, you'll be designing and setting up systems to collect, organize (information modeling), store and transmit data to cloud solutions and other consumers. At TGS Prediktor, OPC technology is central to our SW products and solutions. While knowledge of OPC technology is beneficial, we also recognize the value of experience with other industrial data communication protocols and industrial digitalization systems based on various technologies. It's important to note that this is not a pure IT job; we're not seeking programmers but rather individuals who can apply their expertise to build systems using standard SW modules. However, coding and scripting knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
