    Your responsibilities

  • Trade Nordic and European power and fuels along the forward curve on a proprietary basis
  • Manage your individual portfolio equipped with an appropriate risk mandate
  • Support asset optimization and dynamic hedging activities
  • Interact closely with senior traders and analysts to develop successful trading strategies and trading ideas
  • Actively participate in developing forecasting tools/fundamental models for both power and gas markets
  • Focus on business compliance and drive development
  • Manage a close relation to colleagues in risk functions
  • Openly communicate and discuss positions, trading strategies and market opportunities to maximize Uniper group value
  • Your profile

  • Experience from an analysis company and/or an international trading house or major utility with a focus on the Nordic Region is preferable but not a prerequisite.
  • Strong candidates from University with summer internship experience from large banks, investment banks and consultancies will be considered.
  • Quantitative background with at Master level education in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Finance or equivalent
  • Strong interest in speculative trading or investing
  • Interest/knowledge in other markets (Credit/Interest Rates/Equities/other derivatives)
  • Strong analytical/modelling skills: Data analysis, history of building quantitative tools and fundamental models.
  • Programming skills (e.g. Python)
  • Data science knowledge; statistics/machine learning
  • Rigorous, curious, eager to learn, creative, reliable, and resilient
  • Fluency in English and in one of the following Nordic languages : Norwegian, Swedish or Danish
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and relate to tight deadlines
